CONTINOUS UPSKILLING & LEARNING IS A NEW WAY OF LIFESTYLE

Whether you are Rajiv in school in Delhi, Umang in college in Palampur or Ravinder at work in Ludhiana, do remember, once a student, always a student. Learning is a continuous journey till the day one dies from the time one is born. Just to be clear at the very outset, Learning can be academic, or it can be about life’s lessons in general, upskilling is more specific and has to do with the technical skill sets required to be employable in an organisation. Some forget that learning & upskilling is a lifelong process, to stay relevant, keep the neurons in the brain buzzing all the time, and feeling good about yourself at the end of the day. 

You can indulge in upskilling in your personal capacity in your own time with your own expenses or you can be a part of a program instituted by your company as means to retain talent that they feel it’s worth retaining. For those who wish to upskill for personal & career development, there are now many avenues. Once done, then start looking at the courses which will help you get to this goal. Everything needs to be done slowly & steadily in a methodical manner. But it can be done. You are never too old to learn or upskill. One famous example of up-skilling is Mr. Walt Disney, owner of Walt Disney productions who began his career as a newspaper editor and switched to building an entertainment empire. 

With humility and the right attitude, upskilling and learning will be your closest companions on the journey of life. Embrace them with open arms.
