Umang N, 35 years old and an ambitious person who worked in a linen factory. He is the producer in charge of the factory that exports to the western world. On his watch one day, due to a misunderstanding in communication, the wrong colour dye was fed into a vat for a particular order.  The botch-up was discovered when it was too late and the entire raw material fabric had to be discarded, causing heavy loss to the company. Umang was mortified as the buck stopped with him. He took the whole mess very badly and got so worked up, he fell sick and had to be hospitalized. If only he had given himself a break and not got so affected by that incident, he would not be in the mental and physical mess.  

Like him, there are millions around the world right now being hard on themselves, professionally or personally.  They get caught in a vortex of self – flagellation that does no good to anyone. It is imperative for them to avoid this and be gentle with themselves. Before anyone else is nice, kind, or gentle on you, start with your own self. Everyone has good days and bad. We just need to bear in mind that nothing lasts forever. The bad day or days will pass and the sun will shine again.  Embracing yourself and being good/kind to yourself is the first step in being a better person and worker.
