ROLE OF ADMINS IN ORG MAINTENANCE

One of the most important profiles yet unsung in the Salesforce ecosystem is that of Salesforce administrators ( also known in brief as Admins ) who work with Salesforce partners.   • Solve tickets to add a new IP address, resolve SSO issues due to certificate problems 

  • Solve tickets to analyse and aid in fixing data issues 

  • Generate reports as requested by the client / user 

  • Review requests to create new fields, custom objects, and other customizations and provide approvals 

Weekly Tasks: 
  • Update profiles and remove any users that no longer need to access Salesforce for whatever reasons 

  • Run all tests to see if there are no test failures after the addition of any new features 

  • Undertake record ownership changes, update price lists, and amend records as per business roles 

  • Check all jobs, error logs, and debug logs for any problems on a fixed day 

  • Check the data quality, usage of licenses etc. and create reports on the same 

  • Be alert for any unauthorised login issues and user login issues 

Monthly Tasks: 
  • Refresh sandboxes as part of Salesforce implementation services 

  • Metadata back – ups 

  • Deploy the needed updates from Salesforce 

  • Check field utilisation 

Quarterly Tasks: 
  • Study all new releases and their ramifications 

  • Check for all unused reports 

  • Store all needed documents 

  • Analyse any projects in the pipeline and monitor for impact on the org
